Home Care is designed to maintain, or restore, health and safety in the comfort of your home. Arcadia Health Care understands that coming into your home is a privilege, and that we must earn your trust. Our Caregivers are employees of Arcadia, have Home Care experience, are bonded and insured, and receive ongoing training in the unique skills required to provide you with the appropriate care. Our highly trained Care Managers meet with you, prior to the start of care, for a complimentary assessment of your needs, and then continue to provide ongoing supervision.
Below are a few terms which may help clarify the types of services available. Please call us today to obtain additional information.
Arcadia offers hourly services ranging from 2 to 24 hours per day. Home care services may include personal grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, housekeeping & laundry, incontinence care, errands & shopping, and companionship & socialization. More complex care such as lifting and turning can also be provided as needed. There are no weekly minimum hour requirements and the consumer can increase or decrease service as desired or warranted.
Service visits or "service packages" typically last one and one half hours. A "wake-up care package" is often used for assistance with bathing and personal care such as shampooing, dental hygiene, and dressing. Meal preparation & feeding assistance and "tuck-in service" or assisting an individual with his or her bedtime routines are other examples. The frequency of the visits is determined by the consumer and can be altered at any time at their discretion.
Live-In services are applicable if the consumer does not require constant attention and sleeps through the night or awakens less that three times with minimal assistance needed. A variety of services can be incorporated in the care plan which address the particular needs of the individual such as personal care and grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, housekeeping & laundry, incontinence care, errands & shopping, and companionship, socialization and activities. Twenty four hour care is always an option if the individual's health condition warrants constant assistance.
